Hi, my name is Alastair Grindlay, I am a British Advanced PGA Professional based in York, England.  I started playing golf with my dad when I was 8 years old and have loved playing the game ever since.  Like most youngsters I always had dreams of playing on tour but over the years I found I enjoyed teaching and was more adept at improving other peoples golf.  Over the years I have coached every type of golfer; from beginners to top professionals and also scratch and elite teams to groups of youngsters.  Since I qualified I have been fortunate to teach golf to literally tens of thousands of golfers in the United Kingdom, Germany and Spain.  Teaching golf and helping my pupils radically improve their golf is something that gives me great satisfaction and something I pride myself on.
You can read about my golf story on the home page but I would like to explain here about the Truth About Golf program, why I have founded this web site and written the e-book.  Just like most golfers I am always looking to improve my game through reading books, watching golf on television and reading articles on the internet.  The difference between most golfers and me is that I know what is real, true and applies to my swing - in other words there is so much information out there which really does not apply to you.  Why?  Because like everyone else in the world you are unique, therefore you have a unique swing and unique thoughts and beliefs.  I wanted to give people something simple and tangible they could incorporate into their golf which would make a lasting improvement.
